Stories of a Sociopath

Mon Oct 8, 2007, 9:44 PM
I walked through town the other day, hoping to come a ccross an adventure, what i came accross was far stranger than i would have ever imagined. A hospital lobby. I sat in the waiting room that smelled of old plastic and mold, accross from me sat an old lady holding a brown paper bag, didnt care enough to ask what was in it, so i let my mind race with anything that could have possibly been concealed in the bag.

I continued to sit, for what seemed like ages, i watched people go in and out of the doors, i saw a man talking to himself in the corner, and two children chasing each other around there parents. I'm not really sure how i ended up in that office, but it seemed like a good idea at the time. I saw drug addicts and whores, pimps and people with strange deformities. Everything about that place, gave me the impression that people really were more than they seemed. You could look completely normal on the outside, but inside you were screaming for unfound attention or just screaming out of pain and anxiety. Or, you could be completely deformed on the outside, unable to say things you want to because dont really give you the time of day, but inside you could be completely "normal".

What bizarre twist of fate had brought everyone to that point is what i thought to myself, bringing all of those people together in one spot, where race, size, and religion, didnt really mattered. It seems that a hospital waiting room may be the only place in the world where you can find people in pain and yet at peace with each other. For some odd reason, as soon as we walk through those doors everyone is equal, regardless of where they came from, and how they got there. I guess that people truly can harmonize, under a common roof, its not impossible.
